About The Author

Grant was born in an ancient time before mobile phones, colour television and England's only World Cup win (just). He is the middle brother of three and got a thirst for travel as a child when his family moved from the U.K. to Australia for two years.

Grant returned to go to school in England before graduating from Manchester University in 1988 and, after a year travelling the globe, he found a job writing about smelly substances. He has spent the past 15 years writing and reporting on television about primates (the human kind) running, jumping and kicking balls in his job as a sports journalist.

From South London to North Korea, his work has taken him around the world, including to four football World Cups, and the Athens and Beijing Olympics. Grant always wanted to write novels and finally got around to it after moving to Singapore, where he now lives with his wife and two daughters.

His first book Monkey Magic - The Curse of Mukada was published in 2009 to rave reviews. The second book in the Romy Alexander series has just been launched - Monkey Magic: The Great Wall Mystery - and he has also written a collection of silly verses called Where the Wind Blows - A Collection of Smelly Verses. He also has written a series of fables entitled Pepito's Garden.
